About the event
Bring your favorite person or even yourself to life in miniature form! In this 4-week workshop, participants will learn how to transform a reference photo into a charming handmade clay figurine, exploring techniques for simplifying features, proportions, clothing, and accessories into an adorable, stylized character. During the first class, students will sculpt and assemble their figurine while learning foundational clay-building techniques. In the second class, participants will paint and personalize their creations with colors, details, and finishing touches that capture the personality of their subject. No prior sculpting experience is necessary, just bring a reference photo and your creativity! Class is held in partnership with City of Goodyear.
