About the event
In this class the participants will be introduced to basic mark making exercises and simple monochromatic study. Introduction to pastel materials and toned paper surfaces to understanding value and color relationships. Creating depth through color and value to enhance atmospheric perspective. Completion of a finished pastel still life composed and arranged by observing light, shadow and refining edges and transitions. Class is held in partnership with City of Goodyear.
